Introducing Invisalign! |
Aside from aesthetics, a straight and properly aligned smile will aid in chewing, clear speech and oral hygiene. If you have been seeking to correct your misaligned teeth but are looking for an alternative to traditional braces Invisalign may be the solution for you.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a system that allows us to straighten teeth without traditional braces and brackets. Invisalign creates a series of custom fitted removable trays called 'Aligners'. These 'Aligners' are changed about every two weeks, progressively straightening, aligning and improving your smile.
The Invisalign Aligners are clear and virtually unnoticeable to those around you.

Nutrition and Your Oral Health |
Nutrition plays an integral role in preventative dentistry. Foods with antioxidant qualities help your body to fight bacteria that cause tooth decay, while foods high in calcium strengthen teeth and bones.
A well balanced diet is important in all aspects of your life ... including your oral health.
Are You Eating Enough Alkaline Foods to Maintain Vital Health?
The attached chart provides information that shows the contribution of various food substances to the acidifying of body fluids, and ultimately, to the urine, saliva and blood.
In general, it is important to eat a diet that contains foods from both sides of the chart. Allergic reactions and other forms of stress tend to produce acids in the body. The presence of high acidity indicates that more of your foods should be selected from the alkalizing group.
You may find it useful to check your pH in order to find out if your selection is providing the desired balance.
People vary, but for most, the ideal diet is 75 percent alkalizing and 25 percent acidifying
food by volume.

Vegetable are a source of many vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and nutrients that your body needs. Vegetable are a source of many vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and nutrients that your body needs and raw vegetables give us the most nutrients.
Here is a soup recipe that will help you get more greens into your day that will likely become a favourite around your home as it has around our office.
A tip for this soup: If you buy your parmesan cheese as a chunk, save the rinds (in the freezer, if necessary) to toss into this soup. You won’t believe the difference it makes to the flavour.
